WASC Report Update

After submitting our WASC Report and hosting the WASC visiting committee back on March 27th & 28th, we are proud to announce that the WASC Commission has determined that Bullard High School meets the ACS WASC criteria for accreditation.

It is the decision of the Commission to remove probation and grant two additional years of accreditation to Bullard High School through June 30, 2024. Our next WASC self-study visit will take place in the 2023-2024 school year.

Storey Elementary takes the spotlight with its Garden Club! In this club, students learn the whole process that is needed to successfully grow plants, and then they get to actually plant themselves! 🌱 The end result is shrubs that will bloom and attract bees and butterflies.🐝🦋

Read Across America was a huge success!📚 Trustees Valerie Davis, Veva Islas Saúl, and Andrew Levine all visited elementary schools across our district to read to our students. It was a fun and fulfilling week for everyone to spread the joy of reading and literature!

Operational services want to highlight their bus rodeo team who will be traveling to compete in a bus rodeo! Welding students at Duncan Polytechnical High School are constructing wrought iron practice barriers that mimic the ones used in competitions to help them get their win!👏🏽

VOLUNTEER JUDGES NEEDED for the 16th Annual Tournament of Technology (ToT). The 2023 tournament will be at Sunnyside High School on April 15th with a fun retro theme. 🎧 🕹️ Scan the QR codes to find more info and sign up to volunteer!

On the March 2nd ArtHop, students created pieces of art to convey the emotions and feelings that reflects the emotions of the pandemic isolation and other themes. This exhibition theme was “Dulcius Ex Asperis -- Sweeter After Difficulties.” 🎨

Today we wanted to highlight Ericson Elementary! The 5th & 6th-grade ASES students along with the student council representatives have been working in collaboration with artist Jason Esquivel to design, create, & paint the mural project. 🎨 Drive by and check it out!
